ANOTHER DOMINANT WEEK ON PGA AND EUROPEAN TOURS FOR GOLF’s #1 SHOE AND GLOVE

FootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf, is delighted to announce yet another winning week for its ambassadors. England’s David Horsey claimed his maiden victory on the European Tour as the 25 year-old went bogey-free in the final-round of the BMW International Open in Germany. In the US, long-hitting Bubba Watson came from 6 shots behind in the final-round and held-off fellow FootJoy ambassadors Scott Verplank and Ryder Cup Captain Corey Pavin in an all FootJoy play-off, to take his first PGA Tour title at the Travelers Championship in Connecticut.

Horsey, a former Walker Cupper who also led the Challenge Tour Rankings in 2008 birdied two of his final three holes to produce a flawless round of 67, which sees him jump to 14th in the Race to Dubai Rankings and the Top 100 of the World Rankings. Watson, the PGA Tour’s longest-hitter confidently birdied his final-hole to reach the FootJoy dominated play-off, where his precision play saw him claim his maiden PGA Tour victory and the winner’s cheque of over $1million. The win also pushes the 32 year-old Watson up to 8th position in the FedEx Cup list and 45th in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Both Horsey and Watson strode boldly to victory choosing the comfort and style of the FJ ICON. Further testament to the quality on offer from FootJoy was the wealth of FootJoy ambassadors a top the leaderboard on both sides of the Atlantic, with Ross Fisher narrowly missing out in Europe and 3-time Major champion Padraig Harrington just losing out in the U.S. Results like this further highlight the popularity of FootJoy amongst the best players in golf.

Whether it is the all round excellence of the all new FJ ICON, the unrivalled stability of the SYNR-G™, or the reliable and consistent performance of DryJoys®, FootJoy remains the overwhelming favourite for golfers of all abilities around the world.
