PARRY TRUSTS TITLEIST FOR MAIDEN TOUR VICTORY

Like so many before him, Englishman John Parry put his trust in Titleist this past weekend and entered the European Tour winner’s circle with the legendary Pro V1 as he claimed the Vivendi Cup. Parry fired consecutive rounds of 2-under par 70 in tough weekend conditions at Golf de Joyenval near Paris, to post a 17-under par total of 271 and beat fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Johan Edfors (Pro V1x) by one shot. The victory boosts Parry’s position on the European Tour’s Race to Dubai by 50 places, secures his playing rights for the 2011 season, and sees him join fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Rhys Davies in winning a tournament in this, his maiden season on the European Tour.

As well as being the choice of the top two finishers in France, the legendary Pro V1 was also the choice of the majority of the field at the Vivendi Cup. A remarkable 75 players chose the feel and control of the Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x, compared to 19 for the nearest competitor. Joining Parry and Edfors towards the top of the leaderboard was Francois Delamontagne and Mark Haastrup, both of whom trusted the Titleist Pro V1x to finish tied third, three shots behind Parry.

Elsewhere, on the Champions Tour, Russ Cochran (Pro V1) won his second consecutive title at the SAS Championship in North Carolina. Cochran posted a 14-under par total to claim a two shot victory from Titleist Brand Ambassador Tom Pernice Jr. (Pro V1x), and complete a wire-to-wire victory. On the Nationwide Tour, Nate Smith (Pro V1) fired a final round 6-under par 66, to claim a two shot victory at the WNB Classic for his maiden Nationwide Tour win. Smith finished ahead of an all Titleist top-4 which included Titleist Brand Ambassador Allistair Presnell (Pro V1x) and Titleist golf ball loyalists Brandt Jobe (Pro V1x) and Fabian Gomez (Pro V1x). These victories take Titleist’s 2010 worldwide golf ball win count to 106, compared to 21 for the nearest competitor.

A maiden European Tour title for John Parry, coupled with the constant flow of victories across worldwide professional tours for Titleist golf ball loyalists, continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the matchless performance of Titleist.
