FootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf, is delighted to announce the victory of its ambassador Adam Scott, as the Australian stretched an elite field at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational with a flawless back-nine of 30 at Firestone Country Club for a comprehensive four-stoke wire-to-wire victory. After opening the tournament with an 8-under-par round of 62, Scott raced to a 17-under par winning total and his first World Golf Championship. The victory is Scott’s 8th on the PGA Tour, propelling the 31 year-old to 15th position in the latest FedEx Cup rankings and into the top-ten of the Official World Golf Rankings.
The stylish Scott relied on the all-round performance of FJ Sport golf shoes, which feature soft full-grain leathers and sleek performance-infused outsoles that combine for unrivalled comfort and unbeatable performance. Scott also chose the innovational excellence of the StaSof® glove for its superb grip and feel, as he took dead aim on the back-nine on Sunday. A host of fellow FootJoy ambassadors finished inside the top-ten, including joint runner-up and World #1 Luke Donald, who opted for FJ ICON, as well as World #2 Lee Westwood and U.S. Open Champion Rory McIroy, both of whom wore the FJ Sport.
Whether it is the all-round excellence of the FJ ICON™, the reliability and consistent performance of the new DryJoys Tour™, or the comfort of the FJ Sport, FootJoy remains the overwhelming favourite for golfers of all abilities around the world.
