While the winner of the Waste Management Phoenix Open was still in question as Mark Wilson and Jason Dufner prepared for a sudden-death playoff, the winning golf ball was not. For the fourth time through the first five events on the 2011 PGA Tour, it would be a Titleist. For Wilson, who relied upon the Pro V1x to win with a birdie on the second extra hole, it marked his second victory in three starts, and the 4th of his PGA TOUR career. Dufner, meanwhile, trusted the Pro V1 and a full bag of Titleist equipment for his success. Both players fired four consecutive rounds in the 60’s to finish regulation at 18-under 266. Dufner closed with a 5-under 66 to force the playoff.
