FootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf, is delighted to announce yet another winning week for its ambassadors. Columbian Camilo Villegas dominated a world class international field at the Honda Classic to capture his third PGA Tour title and rookie Korean Noh Seung-yul captured his maiden victory at the Maybank Malaysian Open.
Villegas’ win sees him climb to 12th in the world rankings and climbs 21 places to 3rd in the FedEx Cup points standings. Villegas has made a blistering start to the season finishing 3rd, 8th and 1st and amassing nearly $1.75 million in winnings already. The popular Columbian took control of the Honda Classic finishing with a 68, 13 under par 267 total to win by five shots. The stylish Villegas, whose winning score was the lowest since the event moved to PGA National course, chose the comfort and unrivalled performance of FootJoy to claim the title as well as the unsurpassed feel and grip of the FJ StaSof®.
Meanwhile on the European Tour, Noh Seung-yul snatched victory from new FootJoy wearer and fellow countryman K.J. Choi, with a breathtaking up and down for birdie on the final hole to shoot a final round 68 for a 274 total 14 under par.
